Hey! I thought that Vanchelsa did a pretty good job with her power point. That has got to be pretty nerve racking being the first one. I am supposed to do the political economy one. I hope it will be half as good!
I really enjoyed the lesson also. When you are standing up at the front of the room, it is alot easier to talk about you know, music rather than like society? haha. It was a very interesting topic and I just wanted to say good job!!

I am glad you enjoy this class. I try to make this class more fun, more relax, more interesting, and try to explain those complicated theories in a simple, funny way.
So I often try to be humorous in class, but my English is not good engough to make sure every humor has my expected effect among your guys, hehe!
Anyway, that is my style. I really hate to add much burden on the students to make them learn under pressure, becaue I, as a student, hate the instructor to do that on me too!
My philosophy is that people can only learn something actively by themselves in a relaxing, reflexive, happy environment. What you really understand or learn does not depend on how many papers you read or how hard these papers are, but on if you have in-depth/creative thinking about the things you are reading. If you can do that, even a small paragraph will give you a lot of thoughtful reflections.
So take it easy for your presenation! It is not a task we are pushed to complete, but a moment we can enjoy.
